Jes Meza

Jes Meza (also known and credited as Jessica Meza) was born in Hahn Flatz, Fitzgerald, Germany. With a father in the Air Force, she and her family traveled her entire childhood, eventually finding their home in Tuscon, AZ. As a young adult Jes moved to Los Angeles. 

The choice to ‘give acting a shot’ came from being scouted as a fashion model. Entered in the JLO Model Competition, from thousands of participants, she placed in the top five. Her modeling career was launched.  Then came Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model. Though Jes did not win, she realized that her story was one of inspiration for young people like herself and understood that through acting she could reach out and give them hope of a future.

Jes has studied with some of Hollywood’s best acting coaches including, Arthur Mendoza, Scott Sedita, Aaron Speiser and others.  She can be seen in Bud Light, Wal-Mart and other commercials and also in print ads such as University of Phoenix, Disneyland and many others. 

In hopes to ignite a fire of courage and change in students, Jes has also toured the United States, with the theatre ensemble Will & Company, presenting Latinos Shaping A Nation. The play tells the true stories of Latinos who fought to win social justice for all Americans. 

Jes can also be seen in several independent features such as Seal Team VI, Compton’s Finest and Dry Spell, which is now streaming on PassionFlix. Currently Jes has wrapped three films; A Clear Shot, Like and Real Talk, all due out 2019.

Today you may recognize her from her series regular role on the popular Emmy nominated HULU series East Los High where she played the spicy Lorena Barrios.  Be sure to keep your eye out on this statuesque Latina.
